Apple now assembles about 25 percent of the total iPhone units in India, according to a Bloomberg report. This reportedly comes as the Cupertino-based tech giant continues to shift its manufacturing base from China to other regions due to multiple reasons, including geopolitics. The company is said to annually produce between 220 million and 230 million smartphone units. In 2025, the tech giant, through its contract manufacturers, including Foxconn, Tata Electronics, and Pegatron, assembles about 55 million units. This comes months after a Union Minister announced that the company shipped $16 million worth of iPhone models from India in the first nine months of FY26.
