Maharashtra has signed a Letter of Intent with Starlink, becoming the first Indian state to formally partner with the SpaceX subsidiary for satellite-based internet services. The deployment will focus on remote districts, supporting government institutions and critical infrastructure that remain difficult to serve through fibre networks.
