WhatsApp allows users to create a backup of their end-to-end encrypted chats, which means that the messages that have been backed up are not accessible to a third party. These messages can only be read with a device with the unique 64-digit encryption key. However, this feature is only available on smartphones that are running Android 9 or newer versions, or iOS 16 or later versions for iPhone users. It offers a greater level of security. Users can also create a passkey, an added layer of security.
