OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Dots, AI agents designed to handle multi-step tasks across connected apps with limited user intervention. Dots can continue working in the background, return with updates or request approval when needed, and can be used for tasks ranging from software development and research to sales and content creation. Each agent gets a separate cloud computer and browser, while users can control its app access and permissions. OpenAI is also testing specialised Dots for business workflows and plans wider availability.
