WhatsApp Announces Ads in Status, Channel Subscriptions, and More Features for Businesses

For years now, WhatsApp has been deliberating over bringing ads to its app and it has finally rolled them out. Ads will be displayed in the Updates tab, enabling businesses to promote their services or products. Further, it also introduces Channel subscriptions and Promoted Channels.
